Terms of Use

1. Operator and beta service

CrowdScout is operated by Match Simulator, registered in the Netherlands with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 84493763. CrowdScout is a beta service. Its features, football-data coverage and rating methodology may change as the service develops.

2. Age

You may browse public ratings without an account. CrowdScout accounts and all registered or anonymous Scout contributions are for people aged 16 or older. We do not ask for your date of birth.

3. Accounts

Native accounts require a display name, email address, password and email verification. Provide reasonably accurate account information, protect your credentials, and do not share credentials to evade restrictions or access controls.

4. Ratings and published versions

CrowdScout ratings are estimates and opinions generated from football data, model methods and, where applicable, community evidence. They may be incomplete or contain errors. New published versions may supersede earlier ratings while historical published versions remain preserved. Ratings are not professional scouting, employment, financial or wagering advice.

5. Scout contributions

Scout answers may be retained, aggregated, scored and used to develop community estimates and improve CrowdScout ratings. Trust, expertise and integrity weighting can affect how strongly evidence counts.

You keep your underlying opinion. By contributing, you grant Match Simulator a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence, limited to what is necessary to store, process, analyse, aggregate, moderate and reproduce contributions internally; derive community evidence from them; improve CrowdScout models and ratings; incorporate them into aggregated or derived published CrowdScout outputs; and process them through operational service providers where necessary.

Deletion or anonymisation of account-linked data does not necessarily require CrowdScout to rewrite an already-published aggregated release, non-identifying aggregate statistic, or derived model/rating output where continued retention is legally permitted and that output no longer identifies you. Raw and account-linked personal data remains subject to the Privacy Notice and applicable rights.

6. Acceptable use

Do not coordinate rating manipulation, abuse multiple accounts, use bots or automation to manipulate votes, deliberately abuse control questions, use the service unlawfully or disruptively, or bypass security, API keys, rate limits or access restrictions.

Automated access may be restricted or rate-limited. Bulk scraping or systematic dataset extraction outside approved interfaces may be restricted. Search engines may crawl ordinary public pages when allowed by CrowdScout’s current robots and indexing configuration. These Terms do not grant a general right to reuse or commercially redistribute CrowdScout datasets.

7. Moderation

CrowdScout may disregard evidence or restrict or block accounts for integrity, security, abuse or service-protection reasons. Contact [email protected] to challenge a restriction or moderation outcome. This is a human contact route, not an automated appeal workflow.

8. Availability

No uptime or uninterrupted-availability guarantee is made for the beta. Features may change or be temporarily unavailable. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Dutch law, subject to any mandatory protections that apply to you.
