CrowdScout session cookie
CrowdScout uses one necessary application session cookie, normally named crowdscout_session. It is session-only, HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax and Secure outside local development. PHP is configured for strict, cookie-only sessions. The server-side session supports login, anonymous Scout continuity, CSRF protection, policy acknowledgement flow and temporary interface messages. Logout destroys the server session and expires the cookie.
Google Analytics cookies
CrowdScout loads Google Analytics with Analytics storage denied by default. While storage is denied, Google receives limited cookieless measurements but Analytics cookies are not set or read. If you select “Accept analytics,” Google Analytics may set _ga to distinguish visitors and _ga_SJVP8LH3BQ to maintain session state. Google documents a default lifetime of two years for both cookies. CrowdScout uses the resulting statistics to understand visits and improve the service; it does not enable advertising storage, Google signals or advertising-personalisation signals in the tag.
Your choice
CrowdScout stores crowdscout_analytics_consent_v1 in localStorage to remember whether you accepted or rejected Analytics storage. This preference is necessary to respect and remember your choice and is not used as an Analytics identifier. Withdrawing consent changes Analytics storage to denied and attempts to delete the Analytics cookies accessible to this site; limited cookieless measurements continue. You can also clear site data in your browser.
Cloudflare may use necessary technical or security mechanisms depending on the enabled edge configuration. CrowdScout does not currently use advertising or marketing cookies.
